Implanon??? I need feedback, I'm seriously thinking about getting this implanon for bc but am kind of erie towards it because well it's a big choice. I want to know personal experiences while using implanon. thank you ahead of time for your input.

Need advice from women who use Implanon and have a history of depression? I have quite severe depression and horrific periods and its been suggested that i try Implanon. A friend of a friend has a history of severe depression and has never felt better after having implanon however this is the only case i have read or heard about. Any advice from experience is appreciated as one of the side affects of Implanon is depression and I don't want to make things any worse than they already are. I have spoken in the past with a doctor who was hesitant to recommend it. Thanks.

How soon does Implanon become effective? I started my period last Saturday, but it ended on Tuesday. This cycle, I arranged to have Implanon inserted, and couldn't get an appointment until 6 days after my period started, today, on Thursday. I read that within the 1-5 first days of a woman's period if Implanon is inserted it is effective immediately but that afterwards, it takes about a week to be effective. So when will mine become fully effective? Is it safe now, or will it take a week to kick in? Sorry to be such a bother!

I am a british citizen living here in canada with my fiancee, i have my second implanon in my arm and when i took it out the first time i flew back to England to have it removed. I can't say that, aside from the ease of use, it's been an overly enjoyable experience. I've gained almost three stone, my libido is non-existant (according to my hubby I used to be insatiable), my moods swing like crazy (mostly in the direction of my poor husband), and I've been diagnosed with depression since starting the implant...even though I was fine before it. We have a four year old son, and we are not overly interested in getting pregnant straight away, but at the same time, I am overly keen to get my body back. I want to want sex again, I want to have a normal, regular cycle, and I want to not be a psycho cow 98.9% of the time. So I don't wanna get pregnant yet, but at the same time, I would love to be birth control free for a time, just to get used to myself again. I've heard that women tend to be very fertile after removal. I want to be BC free and myself, but I'm scared! Help!

I started Implanon in April of this year and I've been bleeding for 3 weeks. What do I do?
